Oh yeah when the moon is high
And the lowest thoughts are taking over
These are lies, don’t hold onto them
Oh yeah when the thunder pounds
And my heart starts to pound with it
Settle down, you can manage this
Slip in bed poisonous mind
Whisper all of your scathing lies
You will turn to dust in the daylight
Is she over me?
(Is she over me, how can you expect a thing?)
Will he always have it out for me?
(Keep running, keep running, keep running)
Am I good at this?
Should I quit?
Should I have kids?
Slip in bed poisonous mind
Whisper all of your scathing lies
You will turn to dust in the sunlight
I know you hear it
In your head
But don’t you know your head
Is not your heart?
Slip in bed poisonous mind
Whisper all of your scathing lies
You will turn to dust in the sunlight

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
